GOAL and the Theater Video conference

The MCHS Theater class would like to thank Shannon Kirkpatrick-Danielsof Jenny Wiley Theater and Robert Daniels of the Mountain Arts Center for their video conference with our students today!! Students were able to talk with industry professionals about an upcoming production as well as about theater in general. Some great ideas were exchanged! We were so happy to be able to do this with funding through G.O.A.L. and Kentucky Power with assistance from KEDC. Kentucky Educational Development Corporation (KEDC) Kentucky Power Jenny Wiley Theatre Mountain Arts Center.

Following are some student comments and photographs about this great program.

Chloe Sparkman—Senior Theater Student—“With the use of this new technology, our class was able to collaborate with theater professionals who were able to enlighten us with very valuable information about theater that we will be able to take and use in our own life and theatrical performances.”

Macey Conley—Junior Theater Student—“The opportunity that the technology Kentucky Power provided us with was incredible!  Being able to interact with professionals was such a neat experience and I would love to continue doing this.  The theater professionals (Shannon Kirkpatrick Daniels and Robert Daniels) really aided our class to thrive and be the best we can be.”

Aiden Morgan—Junior Theater Student—“It really helped us connect to people who specialized in theater and gave us good information to improve our performance.”

Drew Cox—Senior Theater Student--“The opportunity to interact with professionals was extremely helpful for us to continue our theater experience.  All around it was great!”
